Abstract

Islamic education plays a strategic role in shaping a generation that is religious, moderate, and adaptable to the changing times. This study employs a literature review method by examining various sources of literature, including books, journal articles, conference proceedings, and relevant policy documents. Data were collected through a systematic search of academic databases, focusing on publications from the past 10–15 years. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis, grouping the literature into key themes: challenges of Islamic education in the digital age, curriculum strategies, teaching methods, and the role of the younger generation in strengthening religious moderation. The research findings indicate that Islamic education faces challenges such as the spread of extremist ideologies through digital media, low digital literacy, and uneven curriculum implementation. The analysis highlights the need for more systematic policies, capacity building for educators, and further empirical research to measure the effectiveness of the proposed strategies.
